Goodbye Google, Hello Christian Resources

On January 19, OCC introduced its new, improved advertising services. Since then, we've spent the last six weeks contacting Christian organizations about advertising with OurChurch.Com, and God has blessed us with 11 new Christian advertisers. The revenue from these ads makes it possible for us to offer the free and affordable web hosting services with the outstanding, friendly support you have come to know and appreciate. It has also enabled us to completely remove all Google Ads from our site and the sites we host

The reality is these organizations have taken a chance with us. If they don't receive a good response, they will not renew and we may be forced to reinstate the Google ads. So, we need your help in supporting these fine Christian organizations so they find value in advertising with OurChurch.Com and continue to advertise with us in the future.

It does not matter to me who you go with for advertising as long as it does not contain offensive adds. But I had written Google and I wanted to pass on their response. It looks like they have a filter system in place where you can actually block a specific add. Here is there response:

Thanks for your message. We are quite familiar with the adSense content filter. When we were running Google ads we were quick to block any ad reported by our webmastrs that conflicted with our statement of faith. It works as it's intented, but it's much better to not go through the process of having a bad ads displayed, reported by the webmaster, and then blocked by us.

Really???? So we may be facing the same problems of having New Age and Gay Ads on our Websites again in the future?
