When two people talk on various subjects, we at times develop a minds-eye picture in our head. For example, if I said the word dog, what first image, or first picture came to you?
If I lived in Alaska, most likely it would be a husky, wolf, or malamute. If I lived in an upper New York city apartment, it may be a poodle or so other pocket sized dog. Or, if I said the word, a chair, or boat, or whatever, what image did you first see with each word spoken. I am sure it would have been something familiar to each of us.
This question was posed to me, and the only instructions were, "When I say the word, without thinking, tell me, what is the first thing you visualized in your head? what image did you see?
The word is, God. Before you read this sentence, you should have already had a view of what your minds-eye saw. I am curious, I know what I saw. It may show us where we are in our thinking concerning God.

Dear Phil,
Nice to see you here today.
It's very personal what one sees with the mind's-eye. Not too many will see the same thing, although it may be similar.
When I read one of your last lines.... mentioning "the word", I was wondering what "the word" would be, before I read on.
When the word "God" came in view, I immediately saw outstreched hands reminding me of Jesus Christ; I saw a smile (not per-se a face).
I wonder, could my mind's-view have suggested: For God so loved the world, that he gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16
This was a very beneficial exercise you wanted us to do.
Thank you and the Lord bless you.

Trudy,
Good-morning. I have asked this question to others. Its fascinating the variety of answers that I have received. I will post some of them at a later date. When I read your reply, "I immediately saw outstretched hands reminding me of Jesus Christ; I saw a smile (not per-se a face," the following verse came to me.
Luke 14:20, "And the Lord said, unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to COME IN, that my house may be filled."
If any other wish to share what the visualized, or what words came to them, or what they immediately thought of, please share it with us.
Also, I enjoyed your work, "Be Encouraged." Your brother in the Lord Jesus Christ,

Luke 14:20, "And the Lord said, unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to COME IN, that my house may be filled."
This is our mission layed out for us. In this, God is our Guide and our Help. Amen!
Thank you, Brother Phil.
In the love of Christ,
