Hi,
Has anyone ever used Googles webmaster tools?
To verify your site you have to place a code in one of 2 places and I - for the life of me - have not been able to figure out where to put their code. I tried every where and still get an error report.
Any help out there???

It is very simple. There are many methods to verify your website in google webmaster tools.
Upload the html file given in the webmaster tools to your website root folder.
Add meta tags to your site's home page.
You can also verify if you have your Google Analytics account.
You can also verify by your your domain name provider.
