|
|
If your organization has a Facebook page or a Twitter account, one your goals should be to get people who visit your website to engage with you on Facebook or Twitter. If you’ve created your website with our NE1 Web Builder, one of the best ways to do this is to add the Facebook or Twitter modules to the sidebar of your website. These modules display your latest updates/tweets and give visitors the opportunity to fan/follow you right on your website.
To add these modules to the sidebar of your website…
1) Make sure you have a template that has a sidebar. If you don’t, import a new template. For help see http://www.ourchurch.com/help/help-graphics-templates-importing.php
2) Edit the template. For help see: http://www.ourchurch.com/help/help-graphics-templates-edit.php
3) Add & configure the Facebook Fanbox module. For help see: http://www.ourchurch.com/help/help-modules-facebook-fanbox.php
4) And & configure the Twitter module. For help see http://www.ourchurch.com/help/help-modules-twitter-widget.php
Promote your site here as an example
Once you’ve got the Facebook or Twitter modules in the sidebar of your site, reply to this post and include a link to your website. It will give other web admins a chance to see example of other sites using those modules.

Hi! We created a page for our churches(2), but someone told us that it was a "personal" page and not one for an organization. We've tried to straighten this out with FACEBOOK, but no answer. Is there a way to figure out if it is a "personal" setup... or an organizational PAGE like it's supposed to be?
Thanks for your continued help.

Hi Karen,
Sure! If you're the administrator, look towards the top left of the page/profile. If you see a link that says "Edit profile" that means its a personal profile. If you see a link that says "Edit page" that means its an organization page.
If you'd like for one of us to take a look, we'd be happy to. Just post a link.

I placed the Facbook fan box on our home page:
http://disciplingonline.org/index.php
It doesn't appear that we have a side bar which can be edited. If we change templates and we have one that can be placed in the side bar, I will change it. I like this. Thanks! |
