They are very safe as long as adminsitrators/users keep their passwords safe. The most common security flaws are:
- A person uses a password that is easy to guess (their username, their spouse's name, a pets name, their birthday)
- A person logs in on a public computer (like a library) and forgets to log out.
- A person shares their password with other people.
A lot of systems like our Beacon and NE1 web builders only have one username/password for logging into the admin area of the site to update it. Often the main administrator will give the password to other people, so they can update the site, who pass it on to other people, and so on.
One of the benefits of our Custom CMS Express sites is that a site can have as many administrators as you want. Each has his/her own username and password. And each can be given access to only the pages they need to update.
